Role and Responsibilities: · Interact with Business Partners and Software Development Architects/Analysts to support non-functional requirements definition for each specific application that would require performance assessment; · Define and Create performance test specifications to assess the software and hardware performance as defined in the related requirements documentation; · Create Performance test scenarios and performance test scripts; · Identify and isolate performance issues and make recommendations; · Participate actively and effectively on the defect tracking cycle; · Perform performance tests executions and creation of performance reports. Requirements: · Relevant experience in the IT Market. Preferably in Software Development (Software Architect/Development Lead) or Infrastructure support (hardware), working on projects that are medium to large in size; · Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills; · Experience in the following programming languages: C, C++, C or any C based languages, ASP, JAVA, Java Script, VB etc and experience with Win2K-OS, Unix/Linux-OS, Oracle 9i / 10G, SQL, n-Tier architecture, Network - OSI 7 layers model; · Previous exposure to WebTrends, WebLogic, Perfmon and Linux RedHat; · Able to drive problem solving and debugging strategies for complex problems that involve multiple organizations, pro activity and english fluency; · Ability to work with little or no supervision and ability to read and understand requirements and design documents; · Desirable: Experience with Load Runner from Mercury Interactive, CMM background; or any process oriented methodology, Understanding of IIS, webMethods, WebLogic, SOAP, MQ Series, .Net, J2EE, DCOM etc, Understanding of LAN, WAN and Understanding of Firewall.
